Unveiling Hidden Grief: Mom Emotion You Didn’t Know You Had

In this episode of Talk Mom Emotions Podcast, we’re diving headfirst into the deep end of the emotional pool to uncover a feeling that’s been flying under the radar: GRIEF. You might be scratching your head, thinking, “Grief? That’s about losing someone, right?” Well, yes and no.

Grief, my friends, is a shape-shifter. It’s that sneaky emotion that shows up unannounced when you’re least prepared.

Today’s mission is to decode the enigma of hidden grief in Motherhood. So, grab your coziest blanket, brew a cup of your go-to tea, and let’s dive into the shadows together. We’re going to unravel the mysteries of this complex emotion and come out the other side with a deeper understanding of ourselves as moms. Are you ready? Let’s dive in together 😄

Grief is a Common Moms Emotion

Let’s talk about something as familiar as that morning coffee ritual – our BIG Mom Emotions. Today, we’re shining a light on a feeling that’s as common as it is complex: grief. It’s not just about tears and sad moments; grief wears many hats – disappointments, the loss of careers, and weaves its way through Motherhood in moments, especially when we fail ourselves in our expectations of how we thought we’d show up as the Mom we wanted to be for our kids—or perhaps, you’re grieving the ways you thought (expected) your partner would parent your very precious kids, and now you’re mega upset. Angry. Irritable. Frustrated beyond belief that your partner or spouse might not be the person you wanted them to be, or even beyond that, what you thought they promised they’d be.

Now what!? You’re let down. You’re confused. You’re in agony—why? Because of the weight of this season of raising the most precious, most valuable, and most beautiful lives in front of you – these are the moments you dreamed of. This was the season of life—motherhood—and you were going to hit it out of the park! You were going to be the MOST successful. You’ve been career-driven until now! But here you are, maybe even left your career for this thing called Mom-life, and yet, everything you dreamed of isn’t going the way you thought or wanted. 😡💢😥😞
